Crime in Choir – Trumpery Metier (2006)

This is probably my favorite progressive rock band of all time. I originally discovered these guys while reading about at.the.drive-in. Kenny Hopper, the original bassist for ATDI, appeared on Hell Paso and Alfaro Vive, Carajo! and is currently playing with these dudes. Best way to experience this record is puff on some super dank nuggs, lay back and and enjoy.

Here's a sweet Tom Waits record. This was during the period where he had this “I’ve been drinking for 2 weeks straight and smoked every cigarette ever!!!” type of voice. I find myself imitating him periodically. It gets the chicks, seriously!!! Here’s the wiki

Hella – There’s no 666 in outer space (2007)

In 2005 I went to whatever the damn amphitheater is called in the Cleveland Flats to see The Mars Volta and was fuckin floored when we first arrived. Hella was on stage which reminded me of what how "at the drive-in" use to perform.. I was instantly taken away and all my focus was on these crazy fucks. I remember a few bros wearing the concert shirt they bought 5 minuets earlier saying shit like “what the fuck is this music… get the fuck off”… that’s a frat house bro for ya….
